What's in Every Box

Each FoodShare box is packed with fresh produce sourced through the FoodShareSC network or through local farmers. Contents rotate with what's growing and available locally, and every box comes with a recipe card so you know what to make with what you've got.

Fresh Vegetables

Expect leafy greens, root vegetables, squash, peppers, and tomatoes — whatever's in season and at peak freshness when your box is packed.

Fresh Fruit

Seasonal fruit rounds out most boxes, from summer berries and melons to fall citrus and apples, depending on the distribution cycle.

A Recipe Card

Every box comes with a recipe card tailored to that week's produce, so you have a starting point for every ingredient inside.

Two Box Options

KNOW2 offers two box options to fit different households. The traditional Fresh Food Box is packed with 9–11 seasonal fruits and vegetables. The No Cook Box is designed for households that need less preparation time — same fresh produce access, simpler to use right out of the box.

From Box to Table

The produce in your Fresh Food Box is only as useful as your confidence in the kitchen. That's why KNOW2 pairs each box with a recipe card designed around that week's specific ingredients — not generic instructions, but a recipe built for what you're holding in your hands when you get home.

If you want to go further, we work with the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System and Live Healthy Cherokee to offer Cooking Up Confidence culinary series, where we teach Cherokee County residents practical cooking skills using FoodShare ingredients as the foundation. Fresh produce plus real cooking knowledge is the combination that turns a $20 box into a week of meals.
