KNOW2 runs on community investment — and there's a role here for every schedule, skill set, and level of commitment. Find yours below and reach out to get started.
Ways to Get Involved
Every role at KNOW2 is built around consistency and real community impact — not busy work. Whether you have an hour a month or a full event day to give, there's something here that fits.
FoodShare Distribution Volunteer
We need help with FoodShare box packing, which is done every 2 weeks and help with taking orders and working events.
Neighborhood Ambassador
Attend one monthly meeting, receive a full briefing on available community resources, and share what you learn with your neighbors. One meeting a month. Ongoing impact.
Event Volunteer
Staff The Oscars Event or Cherokee Flavor Fest in a front-facing role — guest experience, food service, setup, or auction management. Both events run once a year and offer organized volunteer shifts with real community stakes.

Why Cherokee County Needs You
National volunteer aggregators and online directories send people looking to help their community to generic results that have nothing to do with Gaffney. Meanwhile, real work is happening right here — fresh produce moving through a distribution line, middle schoolers showing up for summer programming, neighbors learning what resources exist two miles from their front door.
That work runs on people who live here and choose to show up for it.
Cherokee County isn't waiting on outside investment to take care of itself — it never has. Every volunteer hour at KNOW2 stays in this county, serves this county, and builds the kind of community infrastructure that outlasts any single program or event.
